1. Basic standards

Booka is a marketplace - we don’t provide the services directly. Our vetting is designed to help clients book with more confidence by screening provider profiles and service listings for baseline quality and professionalism.

  • Clear, accurate profile and contact details
  • A defined service offering (what’s included, where they operate, and typical requirements)
  • A portfolio or examples of past work where relevant (photos, video, audio, or case studies)
  • Relevant experience, training, or certifications when applicable
  • Agreement to platform policies and professional conduct expectations

2. Onboarding review

When a provider applies to list on Booka, we review the information they submit and may look for supporting signals from public sources. Depending on the category, vetting can include some or all of the following:

  • Experience and expertise (years active, past work, training, awards, or industry recognition)
  • Portfolio quality (recent examples that match the service being offered)
  • Customer feedback (verified reviews on Booka, and public reviews where available)
  • Public presence (a website, social profiles, press, or other public references)
  • Service details (scope, equipment, staffing, setup/logistics, and expectations for the day)
  • Supporting documentation when relevant (for example, proof of qualifications or licenses)

We may not be able to independently verify every detail in a provider’s submission, but we use these checks to keep the marketplace consistent and trustworthy.

3. Ongoing quality monitoring

After a provider is approved, we continue to review quality signals to help ensure standards stay consistent over time.

  • Ratings and verified reviews from completed bookings
  • Reliability signals like responsiveness, cancellations, and no-shows
  • Support reports, disputes, and policy violations
  • Periodic checks when profiles or listings are updated

If we identify issues, we may require changes, temporarily limit visibility, suspend the account, or remove the listing - depending on severity and pattern.

4. Businesses & teams

Some providers operate as businesses (for example, an agency or a company with multiple team members). In those cases, we may review publicly available business ratings where possible and rely on the business to confirm that their personnel are properly trained and qualified for the services offered.

If individual team members are added to Booka as co-providers (or have their own profiles), we can review those profiles as well.

5. Important note

Vetting is a screening process - not a guarantee. Always review the provider’s portfolio and reviews, confirm key details in writing, and reach out to support if something doesn’t look right.
